Notes from the I-Ching: Patience [Waiting] (#5)

“A fisherman casts a line, but can only wait for the fish to bite.

Your catch will come in it’s own good time; you cannot make it come sooner.

Only through patience can you become the bridge between the fickle fish & the eventual feast.

Periods of waiting are most fruitful when used for quiet contemplation.

Waiting is an essential skill; patience is a powerful force.

Time weakens even the hardest obstacles.”

Various Thoughts from Einstein

“We all dance to a mysterious tune, and the piper who plays this melody from an inscrutable distance – whatever name we give him – Creative Force or God – escapes all book knowledge.”

“Science is never finished because the human mind only uses a small portion of its capacity, and man’s exploration of his world is also limited.”

“Let us accept the world is a mystery. Nature is neither solely material nor entirely spiritual.”

“I believe I have cosmic religious feelings. I never could grasp how one could satisfy these feelings by praying to limited objects.”

“The world needs moral impulses which, I’m afraid, won’t come from the churches, heavily compromised as they have been throughout the centuries.”

“If we want to improve the world we cannot do it with scientific knowledge but with ideals. Confucius, Buddha, Jesus & Gandi have done more for humanity than science has done.”

“Religion & Science go together. As I’ve said before, science without religion is lame and religion without science is blind. They are interdependent and have a common goal – the search for truth.”

“Many people think that the progress of the human race is based one experiences of an empirical, critical nature, but I say that true knowledge is to be had only through a philosophy of deduction. For it is intuition that improves the world, not just following a trodden path of thought.”

“Intuition makes us look at unrelated facts, and then think about them until they can all be brought under one law. To look for related facts means holding onto what one has instead instead of searching for new facts.”

“Intuition is the father of new knowledge, while empiricism is nothing but an accumulation of old knowledge. Intuition, not intellect, is the ‘open sesame’ of yourself.”

“Indeed it is not intellect, but intuition which advances humanity. Intuition tells man his purpose in this life.”

Long Live the Daydreamer

It’s important to not always know where you’re going.

Explore silence. Explore opportunity. Explore.

Art. Destination undetermined.

Each life is art.

Idleness.

Aimless wondering.

Don’t plan.

Ideas.

Dream.

The daydreamer is under attack. But naturally he cares not.

As his compatriots fall by the way side, he continues to wander, to wonder, and the world continues.

For all is flux, nothing stands still.

He watches.

Long live the day dreamer.

10/06/22 – Divine Seams

Seams…
The constant observer – expanded
Dance around within time
There’s space here
Plenty
Messages back to the other side
Space explorer
Astronaut
How do you pass this message back?!
An open seam of communication – interstellar
Who knows where the time goes?
Dream space
Here together

Why pick this dream?
You can pick any
Welcome back, where have you been?
We’ve been waiting for you
Blurring space-time lines. Nothing changes
It’s always here
We understand the characters we’re all playing
But get lost in them
The real characters are smiling on the other side
Waiting patiently
Forever patient
Stepping back from a dream we’re all complicit in
All on this journey
Hurtling through space
At a thousand miles an hour
Along for the ride
Separation…

You feel further away from this than you are
It’s here all along
The dreamscape
Intergalactic travel
On this trainscape through time
To the other side

Enlargement of the explorer
Who’s always there
Started as any other day
Was it all a dream?
Are we all dreams?
Dream space
Dream. Space.

Part explorer
Part philosopher king
So is everyone else
Dancing across dreams

Sat in this place
Observing
Accepting
Accepting everything

We’ll wake up from our dreams

Quietening the short term
And opening the long
Foreverness
Where does the dream stop?

A separation from time
And needing to be places
From space and needing to be spaces
A child’s view…
Marvel
At everything

Me
And me
Some parts are just a tag on
A choice of sorts
As to what role we want to play here

We notice each other
We know when someone is touching the other side
Hyper-analytical observer
Wishing to understand
Let it be

Your adventure
You choose
Do it however you like
You made the rules
You’re it
But it’s more fun to play in a game
That you forgot you made the rules to
As if someone else is in charge

Much better…

And here is the yogis choice…

How do you want to live in this world?

Glow
The glow that’s always there
Laughter, music, people, connection
God’s up here
Have nothing to fear
Love is everything
The warmth of the sun
All is beautiful
Everything
Every little personality
Every formulation
It’s all wonderful

All we have is now
And now
And now, and now, and now
Floating between

What’s what
Where’s where
When’s when
It’s all ok…
That’s why they call it enlightenment
Two inches off the ground

Enlightenment
Enlargement
It’s all the same thing

A psychotic split
From the confines of a personality
That allowed itself to be unnecessarily confined
Play the game you want to play

One of the questioning ones…
Poke, question, feel
It’s all here
Feel it out
Play

Every version of the play is sublime
Who’s clinging on?
The great question…
Enjoy the challenges
Each moment
And heaven is waiting
That’s grace
